Showcases & Calls for Participation
Translating Action Plans AP1–AP6 into Measurable Practice and Scalable Solutions
1. Bengaluru Roadmap Implementation Showcase AP1–AP6 Core Track
Universities, research institutions, consortia, public funders, and community infrastructures are invited to present documented, evidence-based cases demonstrating tangible progress against one or more Bengaluru Action Plans. Each selected case is published in an open digital compendium and presented during plenary showcase sessions.
Common Case Documentation Template:
Baseline & Action Plan
Status quo prior to intervention, tagged explicitly to AP1–AP6.
Intervention & Resources
Specific policy, technical, or governance changes and budget deployed.
Measurable Outcomes
Verifiable results in publishing, infrastructure, or funding stability.
Barriers & Replicability
Unresolved bottlenecks, lessons learned, and transferability to other institutions.
2. Diamond OA Ecosystem Success-Story Showcase AP2, AP4, AP5, AP6
Curated oral presentations from both publishers and non-publisher entities — including regional library consortia, publishing hubs, community digital infrastructures, and funding networks — highlighting scalable models across the Global South and internationally.
- Format: 6–8 curated short presentations (7 minutes each) followed by cross-case synthesis and moderated delegate discussion.
- Scope: Shared community services, long-term digital preservation, open metadata ecosystems, sustainable labor recognition, and multilingual inclusion.
- Distinction: Dedicated invited oral case track distinct from the visual open-call Poster Session.
3. Poster Session & Summit Book of Abstracts Community Visual Exchange
An open international call for posters addressing policy, research assessment reforms, infrastructure tools, responsible AI, and community publishing practices. Posters are exhibited physically at Perpusnas throughout the Core Summit.
Peer Review Standard
Submissions undergo light peer review for relevance, empirical clarity, methodological ethics, and alignment with Summit principles.
Book of Abstracts
Accepted poster abstracts will be published in an open-access, citable Summit Book of Abstracts subject to author consent.
Interactive Sessions
Includes dedicated moderated poster walk-throughs and optional lightning talks during Summit Day 2 and Day 3.
Governance Guidelines
Selection Principles & Integrity
- Verifiable Evidence: Demonstration of sound data, policies, or operational workflows appropriate to the scale of the institution.
- Explicit Action Plan Tagging: Clear explanation of how the initiative contributes to executing AP1, AP2, AP3, AP4, AP5, or AP6.
- Broad Diversity: Active prioritization of regional balance across the Global South, non-dominant language publications, varied disciplines, and early-career leadership.
- Complete Academic Independence: Showcase curation, poster acceptance, and acknowledgments are determined strictly by independent curatorial committees without influence from sponsorship or commercial arrangements.
